The majority of the dolls in this collection were donated to the library by the family of Mr. George B. Willcox in 1957.

The George and Martha Washington dolls were given to the library by Mrs. F.A. Dennis in memory of her mother, Mrs. John Reinke.

The Columbian dolls were donated by Miss Margaret Griffin in 1977. The Amish dolls are from the estate of Irene Gelinas and were donated by her nephew, Mr. James Berry.
