Biographical / Historical
Arthur "Art" Treanor was born May 26, 1883 to Hugh and Margaret Ryan Treanor. His newspaper career began as a reporter for the Saginaw News in 1901 and in 1910 became the manager at the Courier-Herald. Art returned to the Saginaw News as an editor and manager. In 1927, he became Booth Newspaper's regional director for The Saginaw News, Flint Journal, and Bay City Times. Finally, in 1935 Arthur took the position of vice-president and editorial counsel for Booth Newspapers until he retired in 1946.
Arthor Treanor died on July 16th, 1956
