University of Michigan Alumnae Club of Saginaw
Collection
Biographical / Historical
The Saginaw Valley Alumnae Association of the University of Michigan began in 1896 when Lillie Shaw and May Barnes gathered together with 24 other alumnae for the purpose of sending greetings to the President James Burrill Angell on the anniversary of his 25th year as president. It was at this get together that the idea of meeting regularly was formed.
