. Mr. Phelps. was the son of Rear Admiral William Phelps. Lieut. Woodward Phelps died of a self inflicted gunshot wound in 1930. His son, Woodward Jr. was not yet 1. Woodward Jr. died in April 1962. Grandfather, father and son are all buried at the United States Naval Cemetery in Annapolis, MD.
