A working man’s association and social club that assists members with sick and death benefits. The Arbeiter Unterstutszungs Verein of Saginaw City was organized on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1871. On December 13, 1875 a hall was constructed on the corner of Adams and Oakley Streets. A woman’s auxiliary was organized on July 28, 1898. In 1908 the society had 1,047 members, being the largest of any Arbeiter society in Michigan.
