Ila,

Well here it is time to leave, so I thought I would write while I had the chance. I’m not leaving with Duane. I’m going two days later. What rotten luck. Here I thought we would be together. What I really want to tell you, is that Duane had some clothes to send home so we sent ours together to my house. They wouldn’t let us send them home in our traveling bags. The reason for that, I would like to know myself. This Army does some of the strangest things. I sent a letter to my Dad, so that he would know. My Brother will probably bring it out to your house. I also sent Crowel’s jacket along they will send that to his mother. Gee whiz but I wish I was coming home, Duane better know how to fish because he will have to go with me quite a bit. I’ll even teach you how if you don’t know how. I’m a pretty good teacher. How is that lucky brother of yours? I’ll bet he practices every night with cards. Well this is about all I can think of right now. Give my love to your Father, Mother, and Brother. God Bless You All.

With All My Love Bob

P.S. Don’t forget to write.

Please address all my mail to this address. I’ll answer every letter. Bob
