Hi Ila,
Well I thought it was about time I sent you all a letter. Well it’s finally happened Duane and I are going to be split up after being together so long. Duane is going to stay here with A company and we are going to move out, I will be anywhere from 65 to 100 miles from him for the rest of my stay in the Army. But if I never do get the chance I’ll see him when I get out. That is if you don’t care if I come out to your place. I have to start saving money so I can get a new car when I get out. I’ll have to give you a ride in it. Oh yes I’ll also have to teach you to fish. Every girl I ever went with had to learn how or else. Tell your mother I just can’t wait to taste a good chicken dinner. These Army Cooks slaughter any food they try to make. Those were some pretty nice pictures you sent to Duane. Who is the cute young lady in the picture? Well All I can say is tell your brother Gerry he seems to take good care of the farm. Also to keep up the good work. Give my best to your Mother, Dad and Brother. Also take good care of yourself. Because I might want to see what you look like when I get out. God Bless You All.
With All my Love
