Dear Ila,

Just got back from my three day pass. Had a lot of fun, but would much rather have been home. There where three of us that went. Your brother Duane, a kid named Pfeffer and myself. We met some people over here, I don’t remember if they were related to Pfeffer or not, but he got the address from home. So after a lot of running around we found were one man lived, but it seemed that he left for work. So we looked up the other people, as luck would have it, that’s where the first guy we looked for, was working. So then we ran into more trouble, all they could talk was German and as you know, all we knew was English. So they did much running around and finally found a woman who could speak both languages. So I guess we made out pretty good. Enough about me, how is the world treating you? I want you to be well taken care of, you know. I don’t mean by other guys either. So please take good care of yourself till I get there. Don’t worry I still haven’t forgotten about those pictures, I’m just to lazy to have them taken. But payday for sure, I’ll have some taken for sure. Goodnight Honey, God Bless You.

With Lots of Love, Bob
