Dearest Love,

By the time you get this letter Christmas will probably be forgotten already. Gee whiz how the time really flies by. Just think January and I’ll be starting on my last year in the Army. Getting all that much closer to getting home to my family and to the one person I love the most. Oh how I would love to be holding you in my arms right now. To feel your soft lips under mine. Just to hold your hand would make me feel just as if I were in heaven. Just think Sweetheart I have to work tomorrow. What a day to pull duty driver. All I have to do is drive those doggone Officers around. It’s not hard, but it’s just the idea that I can’t have off on Christmas. I get so doggone mad sometimes. Maybe next year I’ll be home for Christmas. (I hope.) Honey I can’t thank you enough, for what you sent to me. That makes me love you all the more. I’ll make it all up to you when I get there. You better have your lips in pretty good shape, because when I get through kissing you they’ll be pretty sore. So goodnight Sweetheart and thanks a lot for everything. Give my Love to the rest of the family.

Merry Christmas + a Happy New Year.

With All my Love, Bob
