Hi Sweetheart,
How are you today? I feel fine and hope you are the same. I have a heck of a job tonight, they call it Charge of Quarters. It’s a really miserable job I have to stay up till twelve o’clock and then start to take bed check, that’s to make sure everyone is in bed and not A.W.O.L.. Anyone not in bed after midnight is turned in. Then at 430 in the morning I have to get up wash and shave by the time I get through it’s time to wake up the troops. That’s 530 in the morning, revelie is at 540, that’s to check to see if anyone snuck out after I took bed check. Boy isn’t this Army the silliest thing that you have ever heard of. Tomorrow at 445 in the afternoon we go out into the field, we will have to stay out over night. Then come back in Saturday morning at 7 o’clock. If we ever get married and you wake me up that early, well I’ll - - - - just have to kiss you, and go back to sleep. (Ahem) I’m planning kind of far ahead aren’t I. I also am taking too much for granted. Gee, but it’s awful lonely here, Honey, no one to talk too. Kind of hard on the nerves too. But if I had you here Sweetheart, who would want to waste precious time talking, when there are much more important things to do. (Necking and so on) Gee whiz, the more I look at the picture of you in a sweater the more I really want you. My pulse starts to beat a mile a minute, no kidding. Gee whiz Sweetheart, it’s nearly time for me to start taking bed check, so I’ll have to sign off for now. Don’t forget to keep your lips in shape cause, they are going to get a work out soon as I get home. Goodnight and Sweet Dreams.
Yours with All my heart,
Bob

Love is an easy task
That’s why I’m not afraid to ask, for to ask, is to simplyfy my task.

Can you figure out what I mean Dearest? If you can then let me know.
