Hi Doll,
This will be a shorty, but I’ve got some pictures to take the place of the missing words. Remember that Confucius said “one picture is worth a thousand words.”
Got sergeant a few days ago, which was rather a surprise. I wasn’t seriously looking for it. Rather hoping, would be better.
Lot of rumors floating around about moving, but I’m pretty sure we’ll stand fast. Not much necessity for the artillery moving principally because we’re in good position and are the main support weapons. Suits me fine to sit here and play it cool.
One of our Inf. Regs. Is in Japan already but I feel sure they’ll be back. If not the ROK’s will be going up and they’ll need arty, so we’ll have to help ‘em along.
Been getting out of my hole practically every afternoon lately and playing a little softball. After being underground all winter it feels great to get out and get some sun. I’ll probably still have a prison pallor after the summer is over because I’m inside all day, but I’m gonna be outside as often as I can sneak away.
I’ve got a few things to clean up.
Love,
Frank
