Hi Doll,

Goodness but you certainly worry an awful lot about me. Right at the present I wouldn’t mind if you did a little of that worrying on my shoulder but I guess that isn’t too logical. War, or at least the fighting appears to be over. We’ve still got a war going with the army brass, but nothing that can’t be won eventually, I guess. Practically as soon as the armistice was signed everybody started outlining stuff we’d have to do. Naturally the building plan in going on full force and added to physical training 3 times a week in this heat it totals zero. We still have to keep on full uniform plus helmet and weapon and that doesn’t make Frankie a happy little boy. Far as I can find out the rotation system to the states is going to be the same for at least another couple months. I’ll be getting out of here in Sept., just from now on will be the system of rotation for the new replacements. Apparently they’ll have to be 16 months here but at least there isn’t any war to plague ‘em. Glad you liked those silk-whatever-you-call-‘em; scarves, I guess. As for cost, I don’t believe I ever heard that word before. Holy Smoke, if I can’t give you a little something in return for all the enjoyment I’ve gotten out of your letters why I’ll feel slighted, and probably insulted. Naw, just kidding. They cost skeighty eight trillion. There you go cursing me up + down and saying the next time you I go on a trip I’d better write. Then you say I might not get an answer on my next letter because you’re going to Harrison????? Love, Frankie
