Hi Ila,

I’m sorry if I didn’t seem to answer your letter right away. But I’ll try to redeem myself, honest. I would have come over that night but my brother had a date all set for me. But what a snob she turned out to be, never again. Guess what happened to my car last week Thursday? Well it seems that either I, or the guy that rides to work with me dropped some ashes on the seat and set it on fire. The inside of my car was a wreck. There was about $375.00 damage. So I’m not sure when Drapers will be through repairing the damage. But if you don’t believe me go down to Drapers, my License no. is G.S. 28-74, a Black and White Bel Aire Chevrolet. I just thought you wouldn’t understand. As for the Lock of your hair, I’ll give you that and what goes with it when we meet okay? You know darn well I meant what I said in my last letter. Honest honey after you see me once you won’t want anything more to do with me. As soon as I get my car back, I’ll drop you a letter and then you let me know where I should meet you. Okay? The sooner the better. Okay Honey?

With All My Love, Bob
