Dear Ila,

I got your addrest from Jack Leamo he said you wanted somebody to write to you. I should leave Korea about Jun of this year, but I still have a year or more to go in the army so I will write to you as long as you want me to. I don’t know what to write because you are the only girl I am writing to besides me mother and sister. I would like you to send me a picture of yourself. The not much to say about myself I came from Ohio, (just a little town along the river). I can’t think of much more to say right now, so I will close till I here from you. I am in the same place as Jack,
