Dear Ila,

How everything with my favorite girl these day’s fine I hope. From the sound of your letter you have been working hard. What do you want to do that for? I know what it is to plant a garden, my father and myself use to plant a big garden. I had to take care of it. Your girl friend should have recived her letter from one of my friend. You want to know more about myself, well all I can do is answer your questions. I have been on roller skate only once in my life and I wasn’t on my feet. I never did get on skates again. Yes, I like to go to dance shows once in a-while. I can’t dance to good. That the only way to learn. Sometime at night if I didn’t go anyplace I would go to my sister home and we would play card up till 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning, or just to watch television. I always when some place at night even if just for a ride in the car. I hope you can make out my handwriting if not let me know. O’K? I am still here in Korea. I haven’t heard anything about leaving this place. Some of the boys I came over with have left but I am still here. I know you are mad that school is out, no, more homework, backer(?) can’t get you mad. But wait till next year. It won’t be so hard as this year. I will write you when I get order to leave this place also when I get home so don’t worry about it O’K? Well I can’t think of much more to say so I will close till later.

Love, ART

P.S. I will write some more later.
