Dear Ila,

Well I am home at last. I had 2 of your letter here and I am going to answer both of them now.

I hope there wasn’t too much damage done by the fire and that no one was hurt.

I glad you like that photo album because I didn’t know what to buy and was looking around and saw them so I got it. That the first time I pick out anything for a girl. If I every went to a party or something my mother or sister would have to get something. I hope you can make out my hand writing.

I got in yesterday June 10. I went swiming today with my brother-in-law and had lot of fun. I hope you got to see your baseball game. Did you?

Jack in Pusan the day I got on the boat and we wailed on the morning of the 25. We go off the boat at Washington the morning of the 7 of July. Enough about the army I am going to forget about in till next month.

You still want to know about the women airforce. Well sometime you will want to go on pass you won’t get it. You want to go someplace at night you won’t get to because you will have something to do. You say you don’t like to get up early in morning well you will get up!

There a lot of thing you will want to do but can’t. Just take my advice and stay out. There was a lot of time I wanted to go someplace and couldn’t. I can thing of a lot of thing but like I said before I don’t thing you will like it. Your better off at home.

Well I will write you another letter later (12 or 13) I can’t think of much more tosay now.

Love, ART

P.S. I am glad you like that photo album.
