Dear Ila,

Well how everything with my best girl these day’s, fine I hope. As for myself I am fine. Are you going to any baseball games these day’s. This is the right weather for it. Well I got my self a new car on the 14 of July (54 Ford) In 2 day’s I put over 300 miles on it. You can see I like to travel. I will get some picture taken and send you a few. Has Jack got home yet? When you see him tell him hello for me. O’K? Your not working to hard these day’s are you? I’m just taken life easy. I might go swiming today. It look like it going to be another hot day. One of my buddy want me to go fishing tonight but I don’t know weather or not to go I don’t like fishing that much. Tell me what you have been doing with yourself these day’s. Has your girl friend been writing that boy in Korea. How does she like him? Tell Jack I won’t be able to get in the air born. I haven’t enough time. And I’m not going to join up again. I still don’t know what I’m going to do when I get out of the army but I know for sure I won’t stay around here. Is there a lot of work up in Mich. or I might go to Calif., and see about over there. I can’t think of too much to write about right now so I will close and write another letter this after noon or tonight if I haven’t gone fishing. O’K? Love, ART
