Dear Ila,
Well how everything with the school girl these day’s fine I hope. Your not working to hard in school these day’s. Myself I can’t see working to hard well I’m in the army. How does your niese, Sherry, like school or does she go this year. Tell her hello for me. O’K?
Well honey they just gave me a new addrest, I will put it at the end of the letter. I will be glad to get out of the army. All this week I just sat down going nothing.
By the way what do you want for Christmas. I want an answer too! It not too far away.
Are you still going to teach me to dance when I get to Michigan?
Has your girl friend heard from that boy in Korea yet? If you and your girl friend want me to I will write him. Send his addrest if I haft too write him

What have you been doing with yourself beside going to school. Myself I’m best doing anything and not going to do anything till I get out of the army.
Well honey I can’t thing of much to say and beside there nothing to write about this place.
I had a picture take a few day’s ago it not any good but I will put it in with this letter. It will scare any rat away.
