Dear Ila,

I wasn’t doing anything tonight so I though I would drop you a few lines. How are you doing in school these day’s? Are you giveing the teacher a hard time? Well last night and this morning we had about 3 inch of snow. I forgot to answer one of your question in the last lettler. You ask if I’m democrat or republican. Well I’m republican. Has your girl friend herd from that boy yet? If she had, how does she like him. Did you get your driver license yet? We have some good officers in this outfit I’m in. They are making us pull some of the pole out more them about 4 or 5 feet. They make us go out in the snow and work. But you know me I don’t do any more work then what I haft too. I can’t think of very much to write about when I don’t recive any mail. I try and think of a little more to write about any way. There talk going around that we are going back to Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri in January. I hope we don’t go. There not much I can do if we do go. Well honey I can’t think of anymore to say right now so I well close hopeing to hear from you soon. Be good and take care of yourself.

Love, ART
