‡The Jackson, Lansing and Saginaw Railroad Company was incorporated February 20, 1865 for $1,500,000 in Jackson, Michigan for the purpose of owning/operating 115 miles of railroad track, from Jackson to the Saginaw River via Lansing and Saginaw. The company merged into the Michigan Central Railroad Company on September 27, 1916 (Information from Michigan Railroads and Railroad Companies by Graydon M. Meints)
